Bunny and the Apple Tree

In a peaceful meadow, there stood a grand apple tree with branches that spread wide like an umbrella. Beneath its comforting shade lived a cheerful little bunny named Clover. Clover had made the space under the apple tree her cozy home, building a nest out of soft leaves and grass.

The apple tree was not just a shelter for Clover; it was also a source of food. Every season, the tree dropped juicy, red apples, and Clover would happily nibble on them. She felt grateful and often whispered, “Thank you, dear tree, for taking care of me.”

One day, a strong wind blew through the meadow. The branches of the apple tree swayed wildly, and a few apples fell to the ground. But Clover noticed something unusual—one of the branches had cracked, and the tree seemed to be in pain.

Clover thought, *The tree has given me so much. I should help it now.* Determined, she hopped into the nearby woods to find some help. She met a family of woodpeckers and told them about the cracked branch.

The woodpeckers agreed to help. They flew back with Clover and used their beaks to clean up the broken part of the tree, making it smooth so it wouldn’t get infected. Clover also spread seeds from the apples around the tree, hoping they’d grow into more trees one day.

As time passed, the apple tree healed, and the meadow became greener than ever. New sprouts began to grow around the old tree, forming a small orchard. Clover continued to live under the tree, feeling proud of how she had helped her friend.

**Moral**
*Kindness and gratitude go hand in hand. When we care for those who care for us, the world becomes a better place for everyone.*
